Upcoming Family Friendly Events
The lakeshore communities of West Michigan do a fantastic job of hosting events and activities that include the whole family. There's so much happening that is geared specifically toward kids and families as a whole, and that's part of what makes being here so amazing!
Every season in West Michigan has it's unique, fun things to do for kids of all ages- from babies up to the "young at heart". Indoors or outdoors, no matter the time of year, there's always something great going on along the lakeshore for families to experience together!

Now through March 2, 2021Applications being accepted for Agriculture Scholarships sponsored by Smith & Eddy Insurance and Fremont Insurance. Two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to students who intend to pursue a degree in agriculture. Eligible students must have maintained a grade point average of 3.5 or higher. Students must submit the application, transcript, and an essay of no more than 1,000 words describing why they are pursuing a career in agriculture by March 2, 2021.
Now through December 18thFloracraft's Letters to Santa program. Kids can write Santa and will receive a written response to their letters. Letters may be dropped off or mailed to 1 Longfellow Place, Ludington, MI 49431; e-mailed to firstname.lastname@example.org; and there will be a collection box at the Lakeshore Food Club- 920 E. Tinkham Ave. in Ludington. Letters must be received by December 18th to receive a response letter.
December 1st-27thDeck the Halls: A Mason County Holiday Decorating Contest. Tour and vote for your favorite decorated home. For more information, a tour map, and to vote, visit ludington.org.
Friday, December 11th, 6pm6th Annual We'll Be Home for the Holidays Virtual Concert presented by the Ludington Area Center for the Arts. Hosted once again by Sean and Kali Gilbert, this year's event will feature performances by Edgar Struble, Taylor Makowicki, Carlos Adan Ortega, Brian Oberlin, Fremont John, Brielle Ashton, Ed Santarelli, and more! Plus, enjoy a special reading from the Mason County District Library.

Now through January 1stCounty-Wide Community Christmas in Manistee County. The event will include a car parade route for touring decorated locations, with voting and prizes for winners in various categories. Participants must sign up their location by November 23rd.
