We found a new Lake Michigan hot spot southwest of Ludington's harbor on today's charter fishing trip.

Bad weather shut down the fishing on Saturday. Sunday and Monday we found some new water holding lots of fish. Southwest of Ludington Harbor, in 200ft of water, we found 44 degree water 90ft down. This area is holding a mixed bag of fish. We caught King salmon, Coho salmon, Steelhead, and Lake trout. We had lots of action. Program: Riggers, 91ft, 123ft, and 144ft down, with moon shines on the out and downs and a 10in glow blade spin doctor, with a meatless teaser down the chute. High wires with 8in tuxedo and meatless teasers back 250ft. Low wires with 10in glow blades and meatless teasers, back 200ft. Core and half with Moon shine mag bloody nose. Also 400ft of copper worked well.

With all the wind over last weekend the fishing has slowed a bit. The fish are still coming in 185 ft. of water off the State Park. Some Kings in the 25 lb. class are being taken. These big kings are real are real screamers, they can peel off more than 100 yards of line in one run. Program: same as July 30th.
